It traces the voluntary and involuntary movements of humans, animals, microbes, goods, and ideas that travelled along the entangled imperial networks of the Atlantic World from the 1400s to the 1800s. In particular, it focuses on the interactions that took place in oceanic spaces and coastal communities, serving as a reminder that human history is not exclusively land-based.
