Three hours seminar per week Prerequisite(s): Admission to English MA Degree English M.A. candidates design, assemble, and present a postsecondary teaching portfolio demonstrating competence in course design, inclusive pedagogy, and equity-minded assessment for college-level English. Working with a faculty mentor, students curate syllabi, genre-aware and multimodal assignments, clear criteria and feedback guides, LMS modules, and brief analyses aligned with community-college Course Outlines of Record and/or first-year composition outcomes. The portfolio includes method-transparency statements, language-inclusion policies, reflective analysis of sample student work and calibration results, a Professional Materials Packet (teaching philosophy, equity/inclusion statement, course outline/schedule), and a public writing component. Grading is Credit/No Credit
