Three hours lecture per week Introduces students to literary theory in the exploration of world literature by authors outside of Europe, Canada, and the United States. Emphasizes critical analysis of literary texts centered on a common theme (e.g. identity, belonging, oppression, resistance). Substantial reading, writing, and discussion are required.
