Catalog description

Two hours lecture and three hours laboratory per week Prerequisite(s): EMEC 231 Introduction to the fundamentals of mechanisms and machine design with emphasis on motion generation and component selection. Covers kinematic and kinetic analysis of linkages, gear trains, and cam-follower systems using analytical, graphical, and CAD-based methods. Laboratory activities reinforce concepts through SolidWorks modeling, assembly, and motion simulation applied to the design and evaluation of practical mechanisms.
