Two hours lecture and two hours activity per week Prerequisite(s): Admission to Master of Arts in Early Childhood Studies program Examination of current research regarding multilingualism including early language acquisition theories and biliteracy development. Focus on linguistic diversity with an emphasis on birth through age 8 in early childhood settings including the home. Participation in service-learning project for advocacy in creating equitable learning experiences for young dual language learners and their families following a sociocultural framework.
