Catalog description

Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite(s): Admission to Master of Arts in Early Childhood Studies program Focus on the pedagogy of listening, observing, making visible children and adult learning. Study of observation techniques for documenting and assessing children’s growth and learning, using a narrative, formative assessment approach. Critical thinking and analysis skills and scholarly writing will be emphasized. This is a graduate level writing course.
