Inclusive Pedagogies

Catalog description

Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite(s): ECS 330 and ECS 335, Senior Standing and Program permission Recommended: Recommended corequisite ECS 475 This course explores inclusive teaching frameworks and pedagogies designed to support young children (birth to 8 years) with diverse learning needs. Students will gain an understanding of a variety of evidence and research-based inclusive practices, including Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), accommodation, modifications, differentiation, and imbedded instructions, to create accessible and equitable learning environments and learning opportunities.
