Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of Golden Four GE Areas (1A, 1B, 1C, 2) Drawing from multiple disciplinary perspectives and theoretical frameworks, this course addresses the social, political, historical and behavioral aspects of interpersonal, cultural, organizational and community conflict and conflict resolution in our society. Focusing on the role of language and dialogue in the construction, escalation and resolution of conflict in interpersonal, organizational, community and contexts, it builds on interdisciplinary theoretical understandings to inform and teach necessary communication and behavioral skills to resolve interpersonal, organizational and community conflicts in a productive manner.
