Three hours lecture per week Examines the multiplicity of identities and knowledge-making of the Black & African Diaspora from the 15th century to the present. Special attention will be paid to the African continent, the transatlantic slave trade, identity formation, Black Europe, the Caribbean, and Black internationalism. Employs interdisciplinary methods from Black studies, anthropology, and history.
