Practicum in World Languages

Catalog description

The Practicum in World Languages is a three-unit, supervised course that provides a field experience for students majoring in World Languages that correlates with their educational and vocational objectives. The site and schedule of learning activities are to be chosen and assigned in consultation with the department chair or program director. Students should expect to participate in a substantial number of hours at the practicum site(s) over the course of the semester as well as meeting during their scheduled class time; class activities will include professional development activities and reflection. Prerequisite: Permission of the Program Director and/or Department Chair. (3 units). Pass/Fail. May be repeated for up to 6-units of credit.
