Amer Founding Exper Domestic
California Baptist University · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
This course will be an interdisciplinary exploration of the Founding of the U.S. using materials from history, political science, the arts, and religion. Students will explore how their worldviews help them better understand how to integrate ideas (including American notions of liberty, independence, property, and freedom of religion or conscience) about America, the so-called "American Dream," and its achievements and inconsistencies to discern a comprehensive and coherent vision of the American experience in today's world. Additionally, the course provides an opportunity to travel domestically; students registered in this section will apply course concepts learned during the semester within a domestic setting.
