Catalog description

This course provides an applied study of design principles and techniques in costume and makeup design for the stage. Students explore the collaborative relationship between makeup, costuming, and character development, emphasizing visual storytelling, period research, and design communication. Through design projects, renderings, and practical applications, students will develop an integrated understanding of how makeup and costume design contribute to the aesthetic and narrative dimensions of performance.
