Intro to Technical Theatre

This course provides an introduction to the fundamental principles, materials, and practices that support theatrical production. Students will explore the major areas of technical theatre, including scenery, lighting, sound, costumes, and properties, with an emphasis on safe and effective use of tools, materials, and backstage procedures. Through collaborative projects and practical exercises, students gain an understanding of how technical artistry contributes to the storytelling process and the realization of a production from concept to performance.
