Catalog description
Completion of the fundamentals of the Spanish language with emphasis upon correct pronunciation and mastery of a practical vocabulary. Practice on oral and written expression through a variety of activities, both in and out of the classroom, homework assignments, and language lab (online) participation. Simple study of Hispanic civilization and Hispanic literature, focusing on the development of intercultural competence skills, equipping them for service and careers in diverse contexts. The course provides an opportunity to travel domestically; students registered in this section will apply course concepts learned during the semester within a domestic setting. The course is taught in Spanish. Must pass with a C- or better to continue in SPAN2130.
