Catalog description

This course addresses special topics within physical therapy practice. The role of the physical therapist assistant within the progression of the physical therapy plan of care for acute care, cardiopulmonary care, pediatrics, geriatrics, and pelvic health is covered. Health behavior and wellness, vulnerable populations, and education of others are discussed. Developing skill competency within the areas of cardiopulmonary and self-care and functional training is emphasized.
