Catalog description

This course introduces students to the principles and practices of effective grant writing as a vital skill for sustaining programs in public and nonprofit organizations. Students will learn to identify and evaluate funding sources from government, private, public, and non-profit sectors. Emphasis is placed on the full grant life cycle, including proposal planning, aligning proposals with policy goals, writing, budgeting, compliance, and post-award evaluation. Through applied exercises and a culminating grant proposal project, students develop practical competencies for securing and managing external funding in support of ethical and mission-driven public service.
