Applied Instruction Pedagogy

Catalog description

An advanced, individualized study in the pedagogy of the student’s primary instrument or voice. Through private instruction with faculty, students receive focused guidance and feedback on their teaching of applied lessons. Emphasis is placed on observation, instructional planning, communication, and assessment of student progress. Students will engage in supervised teaching experiences, apply discipline-specific pedagogical techniques, and refine their ability to integrate artistry, technique, and pedagogy in real instructional settings.
