Catalog description

This class provides foundational study in methods and materials for teaching vocal and instrumental music at the secondary level. Students explore pedagogical principles common to both choral and instrumental instruction, including tone production, ensemble management, rehearsal strategies, and inclusive practices. Emphasis is placed on beginning ensemble instruction, repertoire selection, and developing musical independence among students.
