Catalog description

This course provides foundational knowledge of MRI physics and fundamental concepts in magnetic resonance imaging. Students will learn the physical principles behind MR signal creation, image formation, contrast mechanisms, pulse sequences, safety considerations related to field interactions, and basic scan parameter selection. This course prepares students for advanced MRI coursework and clinical practice by establishing core technical understanding essential to competent MRI technologists. This course will provide a comprehensive review of MRI and prepare students for the MRI ARRT board exam.
