Catalog description

This course provides an activity-based approach to acquiring lifelong physical activity knowledge and skills. Emphasis is on learning through teaching, using peers and the classroom to apply appropriate high school physical education subject matter content, teaching methodologies, and evaluation methods. This activity-based course focuses on collaborative learning, practical experience, and structured fieldwork hours. This course is designed to meet California Teacher Credentialing requirements, PETE recommendations, and California physical education content standards for High School Course 1 and Course 2.
