Catalog description

This enrichment discussion laboratory course, designed to be taken concurrently with ENG 254 - Introduction to Children's Literature, offers hands-on instruction in literary conventions and techniques, genre identification, narrative structure, and critical analysis. It explores characterization, symbolism, dialogue, narrative point-of-view, figurative language, poetry, etc. This class satisfies partial requirements for elementary education subject matter training.
