Advanced Topics in Sonography

Catalog description

Students will evaluate advanced topics in medical sonography. Topics will include in-depth comprehension of and increased level of understanding of topics that include, but not limited to best practices, advanced sonographic techniques, misconduct, malpractice, legal, and professional standards, ethics, scope of practice, and Christian leadership in diagnostic medical sonography. The importance of proper documentation and informed consent will be emphasized. Students will demonstrate proficiency in the profession of diagnostic medical sonography. Meets CAAHEP-DMS Standards.
