Special Needs Emergency Care

Catalog description

This course includes study of the needs and care of the medically compromised, geriatric, and mentally or physically challenged patient utilizing therapeutic techniques. This course provides the student with the basic principles in management of special medical and dental conditions and emergencies in the dental care setting. Knowledge of and skills related to medical emergencies, clinical signs and symptoms, and emergency treatment are emphasized.
