Cyber Systems and IoT Security

Catalog description

This course explores the security of cyber-physical systems, including Internet of Things (IoT) devices, Industrial Control Systems (ICS), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) environments. Students will learn attack surfaces unique to embedded and physical systems, security architectures for IoT/ICS, and methods for defending critical infrastructure. Emphasis is placed on hands-on labs simulating ICS/IoT attacks and defenses, covering topics such as device vulnerabilities, SCADA protocols, secure configuration management, and physical security controls.
