Catalog description

This course introduces students to Unreal Engine as a core tool for real-time virtual production. Students will learn how Unreal Engine is used to design immersive virtual sets, motion graphics, and interactive environments for news, sports, and live event programming. Through hands-on instruction, learners will explore environment creation, materials, lighting, cameras, and introductory Blueprint visual scripting to bring virtual scenes to life. Emphasis is placed on industry workflows for LED volume production, green-screen compositing, and integration with broadcast systems. By the end of the course, students will be able to build and deploy basic virtual broadcast sets and graphics, preparing them for advanced work in virtual production, live TV environments, and next-generation storytelling for the screen.
