Understanding the relationship between employers, employees, and unions is a critical competency for any HR professional — and this course gives students the foundation to navigate it confidently. Labor Relations explores the dynamics of the employment rel ationship through the lens of three core objectives: efficiency, equity, and voice. Students will examine the history and legal framework of the U.S. labor relations system, the union organizing and collective bargaining processes, dispute resolution strat egies, and the evolving challenges reshaping labor relations in today's workplace. Rather than simply learning how the system works, students will develop a deeper understanding of why it exists — and how to think critically about its future.
