This capstone course integrates knowledge and skills from across the Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Technology program through comprehensive case studies and a culminating project. Students apply coding, data analytics, revenue cycle ma nagement, privacy and compliance, and health information management principles to real-world healthcare scenarios. The course emphasizes critical thinking, professional communication, DEI awareness, health equity advocacy, and the practical application of HIT competencies in preparation for entry - level positions in health information management.
