This course introduces students to the principles of healthcare data analytics, informatics, and applied research methods in health information management. Topics include data governance, privacy and security, data analytics tools (Excel, MySQL, R), exploratory data analysis, data visualization, population health, comparative effectiveness research, quality measurement, and machine learning applications in healthcare. Students analyze real -world healthcare datasets to support evidence - based decision -making and organizational pe rformance improvement, with emphasis on identifying and addressing bias and health inequities in data-driven healthcare.
