Catalog description

This course provides an in -depth introduction to medical terminology, equipping students with the essential language used in healthcare settings. Students will learn the structure of medical terms, including prefixes, suffixes, and root words, to accuratel y interpret and communicate medical information. The course explores terminology related to human anatomy, physiology, and pathology, with a focus on key body systems, including the skeletal, muscular, cardiovascular, lymphatic, immune, and respiratory systems. By the end of the course, students will be able to define, pronounce, and apply medical terms with confidence, enhancing their ability to understand medical records, documentation, and professional communication within the healthcare field.
