Catalog description
This course introduces students to intermediate concepts in programming and computer science topics. The focus of the course will be primarily Python programming using an IDE. Students build on previously solidified knowledge and gain leverage for better u nderstanding of advanced computer science studies. Python concepts like classes, linked list, stack, searching and sorting alg orithms, objects, constructors, inheritance, and polymorphism will be presented. Upon completion of the course students will be able to understand how to create, modify, and maintain Python programs to provide Object -Oriented Design with an emphasis on problem-solving, theory, and software engineering principles.
