Old Testament Prophets

Catalog description

This course is designed to (1) increase student knowledge of the content and context, both historical and literary, of the Prophets; (2) assist students in becoming familiar with a variety of interpretations of the Prophets in order to broaden their own reflections on the biblical text, for the sake of Christian ministry and witness; and (3) enable students to articulate a critical understanding of the significance of the Prophets and demonstrate an ability to appropriate the Prophets critically and personally for the sake of Christian ministry and witness.
