TAUGHT BY GTU/CENTER FOR THEO & NAT SCIENCES This online course identifies the points of contact where natural science challenges or complements the religious worldviews of classic traditions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Judaism, Christianity, Atheism, and Religious Naturalism. Updates in the field of Science and Religion will lead to analysis of selected topics such as quantum physics, Big Bang cosmology, evolution, genetics, neuroscience, ecology, and transhumanism. No graduate level prerequisites are required. Although some background in the theology of one or more classic religious traditions would be helpful, this is not necessary. Although some background in one or more of the natural sciences would be helpful, this is not necessary. Because of the inter-disciplinary and multi-religious character of this study, no one is expected to be familiar with all the material in advance. [Auditors excluded]
