Catalog description

Taught by SFTS. This course invites students to develop the basic attending, responding, assessing, and discernment skills necessary in the practice of spiritual direction. Participants will also explore the dynamics of direction sessions and become conversant with such issues as initial meetings with directees, psychological concerns in direction, special cases, etc. Students will learn about the professional dimensions and responsibilities, which accompany every spiritual direction relationship.
