Taught by GTU. This seminar examines how the science and theology dialogue can inform theological anthropology. Beginning with a section on religion and evolution, attention is then given to the following issues in theological anthropology: human uniqueness, Imago Dei, the Fall, original sin, whether human nature is malleable, and future possibilities such as extra-terrestrial intelligent life, transhumanism, and continued evolution. Students will be expected to write a reflection paper, present in class on a particular issue, and write a final paper. The course is open to any masters or doctoral student who wants to know more about science and religion, no background necessary. [20 max enrollment]
