OL: Forced Migration: Social Justice

Taught by SKSM. ONLINE: Every year thousands of people are displaced from their place of origin by forced situations such as war, starvation, political persecution or sexual orientation. This course aims to explore the manifold situations that forced migrants face and the particularities of their situations. Specifically, it looks at how religious leaders and activists can accompany and care for these migrants and support their agency and resilience. The course concludes with an immersion time in which we will as a class interact with forced migrants who can tell us their stories and give us tools to seek social justice and peace.
