Catalog description

TAUGHT BY GTU/CENTER FOR THE ARTS Dance and movement constitute core spiritual beliefs in religious practices across the world. Utilizing postmodern dance techniques such as improvisation and assemblage, this studio course will investigate an intercultural concept each week through short readings, discussion, meditation, and movement. Ideas such as pilgrimage, stillness, turning, masking, repetition, and inhabitation will be explored. No dance experience is necessary.
