Catalog description

The course will introduce students to the vast repertoire of hymns, service music, and other musical resources available for worship today. Using numerous hymnal resources, recordings, as well as historical and contemporary written materials, students will encounter the vast and diverse musical styles afforded to the church from composers and authors, past and present. In engaging and expanding repertoire, students will "sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, and singing and making melody to the Lord" in their hearts.
