Catalog description

This course will cover clinically relevant concepts in behavior theory (i.e., the functional analysis of behavior) and will examine current psychotherapeutic applications (i.e., clinical behavior analysis). Students will develop a plan of behavior change to be applied to a habit of their own choosing, to demonstrate both the power and the difficulty of applying behavioral principles and to gain experience being the subject of behavior change efforts. Classroom discussion is an essential part of this course and students are expected to come to each meeting prepared to ask questions and discuss topics.
