Catalog description

This course will examine the interaction of various specialty areas in psychology (including social, cognitive, clinical, and developmental psychology) with the law. It will explore the scientific knowledge that psychologists bring to every aspect of the legal system, from lie detection to the prison system. We will discuss how psychologists can serve as advisors, evaluators, and reformers for the legal system. Pre-requisite: PSYC-200
