Catalog description

An investigation of curated film scores from the advent of film sound to the 21st Century. The course will emphasize dramatic scoring in American feature films, including an examination of music created by composers from historically underrepresented groups in film music, such as African-American and women composers. No specialized musical knowledge is required.
