Research Methods in Psychology

Catalog description
This introductory research methods course equips students with the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to engage in scientific inquiry within the field of psychology. Through a combination of lectures and hands-on experiences, students will learn essential concepts and techniques for designing, conducting, and reporting psychological research. Topics covered include research design, research question and hypothesis development, data collection methods, sources of bias, ethical considerations, and more. By the end of the course, students will develop scientific inquiry skills and gain a solid understanding of the scientific process, empowering them to effectively evaluate and contribute to psychological research.
