Catalog description

This course explores key concepts, tools, and theories in strategic management ranging from strategic positioning, strategic resources and capabilities, sustainable competitive advantage, and business and corporate-level strategies. Taking an interdisciplinary perspective, this course builds on prior knowledge acquired in the major in accounting, economics, finance, marketing, management courses, and connects these ideas with the survival and performance of businesses. Students learn to assess strategic decisions, to select and formulate a company's strategy, to create and protect a competitive advantage in a global and complex environment.
