Catalog description

This course introduces the principles, methods of reasoning, summarization, analysis and preparation of scientific data. Course participants will be introduced to classical statistical methods for inference and estimation and to computational statistical methods such as resampling. Throughout, analytic techniques will be discussed and justified using probability theory. Course participants will work with modern statistical software for most course activities.
