This course delves into California's complex history, covering ethnic, economic, and geographic diversity, and the people who shaped the "California Dream." We will examine causes of inequalities at various points throughout California's history and efforts to address inequalities. Untold stories of California's history and peoples will be explored, including women's roles and cultural minorities. The course starts with the native peoples and their impact from early exploration to statehood.
