Taught by PSR. This 3 hour seminar style course will engage students in an exploration of the history of American Protestant social change efforts and the strategies they employed. Students will be expected to contribute to the class discussion and evaluation of collected information, to be engaged in an individual research project, and to produce a research paper or other concluding report of this project and will be evaluated on both aspects of their work in the class. The course will include attention to Protestants outside of the mainline denominations. It is designed to serve as an advanced elective for PSR's MDiv and MAST programs and as an elective course for the PSR DMin and the GTU MA and PhD.
