Catalog description

In this course, students will learn how to read, interpret, and appreciate literary works of the past 250 years that helped shape the world we inhabit today. We will explore major themes, forms, and periods of the British literary tradition as it evolved in relation to political events, economic change, new scientific theories, cultural developments, complex issues of national identity, and more. Prerequisite: Engl 111.
