Catalog description

This course explores ex-offenders' experiences reintegrating back into society after being under correctional supervision. Students will examine how individuals become offenders and analyze the challenges ex-offenders confront upon being released from incarceration. Students will evaluate the best strategies to assist ex-offenders in successfully reintegrating back into society. This course highlights the benefits of re-entry programs and services for ex-offenders, families, and communities. It offers future re-entry advocates and criminal justice professionals new ideas on how to better support individuals who were once under correctional supervision.
