Catalog description

In this course students will apply principles of auditing to the advanced analysis of auditing processes. Students will evaluate the inherent, control, and detection risks that are present in various business cycles including the Revenue, Expenditure and Production cycles. Once such risks are evaluated in each cycle, students will identify the control and substantive testing steps that shall be performed to reduce audit risk to an acceptable level. An emphasis will be placed on performing financial statement analytical procedures through the course of audits. As a final step in this course, students will learn the different types of audit reports that are issued at the conclusion of the audit.
