Catalog description
This course provides a survey of international accounting practices and principles. Students differentiate between International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP). Other topics in the course include international currency translation, international financial statements, international transfer pricing, international taxation issues, ethical implications associated with accounting standards and reporting systems, and strategic accounting problems and issues for multinational corporations.
