Catalog description

This course will ask students to identify ethical issues in the accounting process and articulate how to respond effectively to them. Students will be introduced both to the major ethical reasoning models and principles, with particular attention paid to the Codes of Professional Conduct offered by the AICPA, IMA, IIA and FEI. Students will analyze and apply ethical frameworks to a range of ethics-related issues, including the causes of ethical violations, fraud, whistle blowing, and professional judgment.
